OUR HISTORY: Princeton Measurements Corporation was incorporated in August 1987. Our goal, to develop and market the first commercially available Alternating Gradient magnetic measurement system. After two years of development and testing , the first Alternating Gradient Magnetometer system was shipped in January 1989. The technique has since been accepted as the fastest, most sensitive magnetic measurement tool available today with AGM systems currently in use throughout the world.
In 1993, Princeton Measurements Corporation decided to augment and complement its Alternating Gradient Magnetometer System with a vibrating sample magnetometer system. This decision was made in recognition of certain limitations with respect to the alternating gradient technique such as large and relatively heavy samples. Our VSM system was designed to be as fast as the AGM system and to provide sensitivity levels not available at the time. Standard features such as continuous rotation about the Z axis under computer control and complete hardware/software compatibility between systems provide maximum flexibility for the measurement of magnetic properties.
OUR PURPOSE: Unlike other companies producing magnetic measurement instrumentation, Princeton Measurements Corporation's primary focus has been and remains the development of magnetic measurement techniques and instrumentation including flexible and comprehensive operating software. To this end our research and development efforts continue today.
OUR MARKETS: Princeton Measurements magnetic measurement systems are currently being utilized in many research and manufacturing areas throughout the world. These areas include materials research, paleogmagnetic studies, quality assurance functions and any application where measurement speed, sensitivity and precision are primary requirements for the task at hand.
